Pitch Promise
The Pitch Promise is a commitment made by girls to always stand up for themselves, especially in times of pain. It serves as a reminder that their voices matter and they deserve to be. By advocating for themselves they embrace their strength and resilience.
Why should I pledge?
Making your pitch promise is essential for personal and professional growth. It serves as a commitment to always stand up for yourself and voice your concerns, especially when you feel overwhelmed or in pain. By making this promise, you empower yourself to maintain open communication with your coach, fostering a supportive environment where you can thrive. Ultimately, a pitch promise encourages resilience and advocacy as your voice matters the most. Only you can feel the pain and know what is right for your body, no one else.
Will my coach be mad at me?
No, your coach will not be mad at you for speaking up. In fact, they will respect your honesty and concern for your well-being. Remember, you are the only who truly knows your body and how it feels. Coaches prioritize your wellbeing over winning a single game; it’s not worth risking a serious that could sideline you for an entire season. Don’t hesitate voice your feelings—your safety comes first!
How do I tell my coach I am in too much pain?
It's important to prioritize your health, so when speaking to your coach, be honest and straightforward. Tell your coach you have been feeling a lot of pain and you think it's best for your health to sit this one out. Reassure them that you respect their guidance and decision-making, and that you're committed to the team's success. The nicer and more mature you approach it, the better the outcome. Remember to not be scared as your coach wants the absolute best for you.

What if I am not a pitcher?
We believe that every athlete, regardless of their position, has a voice that deserves to be heard. If you're not a pitcher, you can still make a commitment to advocate for yourself and your teammates. Always speak up about how you feel, whether it's during practice or games, and don't hesitate to share any concerns about your or well-being. By fostering open communication, we create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive and stay injury-free. Remember, your well-being matters, and your voice is powerful!
